What began in the 1960s as a small dream of Daniel Steidel has evolved over generations into a lovingly run hotel and restaurant where guests immediately feel at home. Today, the Gänsberg welcomes its visitors with comfortable rooms, a warm atmosphere and a cuisine that stands for honest, local specialties – prepared with high-quality ingredients from the region.

Alternatively, guests are welcome to rent the wooden chalets if they are traveling with their own dog.

Baden cuisine with a regional focus
The Gänsberg Restaurant
At the Gänsberg restaurant you can enjoy classic Baden specialties and traditional German cuisine, freshly prepared from regional products – of course without flavor enhancers or additives.
Our menu ranges from house specialties such as sauerbraten, onion roast beef, calf's liver, or ox tongue in Madeira sauce to seasonal dishes featuring asparagus, mushrooms, or game. The selection is complemented by vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free options, as well as fresh salads with homemade dressings.
To complement this, we serve wines from regional winemakers, Welde beer from Plankstadt and fine brandies from the Fellini winery in Rauenberg.
Our country inn in Wiesloch also offers the ideal setting for celebrations and events: up to 70 seats indoors and another 50 seats on the garden terrace, including parking spaces and a children's playground.
The close cooperation with regional producers – from asparagus from Walldorf to geese from regional farms – underlines our commitment to quality and origin.
